The Apple iPad goes on sale in the Republic of Ireland today and the cheapest Apple iPad in the store is €499.
This morning £1 was worth €1.18 which would mean that an Apple iPad 16GB Wi-Fi priced at €499 is actually worth £419 at today’s exchange rate.
So Apple fans could save £10 on the cheapest iPad model.
At the time of writing, the iPad was not available to buy through the Irish Apple Store, but is available in stores.
The pricing of other models apart from the 16GB Wi-Fi model is also not available online yet either, but savings should increase as you move up the model range
But for disgruntled UK iPad fans who feel that they are paying more for their iPad than other countries in the world, it seems that they should be hopping on a ferry to the Emerald Isle to save a few gadget pounds.
