Yesterday Currys released its latest batch of Voucher codes, which on the face of it was good news for customers looking for the cheapest Apple iPad deals.
The first offer was
Offer: 5% off all orders over £199
Code: HOT05
Expires: 23:59 21/07/2010
And the second:
Offer: 6% off all orders over £499
Code: SALE65
Expires: 23:59 21/07/2010
Unfortunately for iPad fans, the small print around the codes states that both of these offers exclude iPads and e-readers.
I can’t blame Currys for this. Firstly because they’re probably held by a pricing agreement with Apple at the moment and secondly because they simply don’t have to make the iPads any cheaper as the things are flying off the shelves.
In the future it is more than likely that price competition will start to come in to play amongst iPad retailers, but for now the Apple store, Apple independents Currys and PC World are all selling iPads at exactly the same prices.
So the cheapest Apple iPad in the the UK is still the 16GB Wi-Fi model, which is priced at £429 from all retailers
